Local incubators and accelerators

Incubators and Accelerators

Incubators and accelerators help the growth of a startup. Incubators offer physical office space and legal counsel to help your startup in its infancy. Because incubators host multiple startups at once, there is also the added benefit of being in an environment where you can work together with and learn from other startups. Membership in an incubator can last anywhere from a few months to a couple of years, depending on the incubator, and they often prepare your startup for an accelerator.

Accelerators meanwhile are more advanced business and legal counsel that tends to help in the later stages of a startup, after the creation of a minimum viable product. They can also help connect your startup to market strategists and new sources of funding. They typically offer their services in return for a small percentage of equity, are more structured than incubators, and usually much shorter-term.
